US Open 2025: Fan’s proposal draws cheers during the Aryna Sabalenka party

Usually, love is reserved for the court during tennis matches, but the rules were launched on the way for a moment during an open match in the United States on Friday night.

“I think it’s the first time someone proposed during my game,” said Sabalenka. “It was a very sweet moment, but I was trying not to start smiling, because it is very nice and I think they are very happy at this time.”

The fans inside the stadium began to CEER when they saw the man fall to a knee with the ring in their hands. He joined the crowd to encourage them to become stronger.

The woman said: “Yes.”

“I was just trying to continue focusing on my game, and it was a great moment,” said Sabalenka. “And as I said in court, I wish you a happy marriage.”

Sabalenka defeated Fernández in straight sets, 6-3, 7-6 (2). She will play against Cristina BCH Will in the 16 round.

The bellruse tennis star occupies the number 1 position in the world and entered the tournament as a seed number 1. She is also the US Open Open champion.
