Tottenham confirms that Radu Dragusin has suffered an ACL setback

Tottenham has confirmed that defender Radu Dragusin has suffered an anterior cross ligament and will miss the rest of the season.

Romania’s International suffered the injury on Thursday after replacing Micky Van de Ven in the Europa League clash with Elfsborg.

The victory was lost in Brentford on Sunday with Chief Ange Posttecoglou admitting later that the injury “did not look good.”

And the Spurs announced this morning that the 23 -year -old faces a long spell on the sidelines.

The club wrote in X: “We can confirm that Radu Dragusin will undergo surgery due to an anterior cross ligament injury (ACL) in the right knee.

“Radu will be evaluated by our medical team to determine when you can return to training.

“We are all with you, Radu.”

Season ruined by injuries

It is another blow of injury for Postecoglou, whose team has been decimated during much of the season, particularly in defensive areas.

The return of Van de Ven is welcome, although Cristian Romero remains marginalized along with the destiny of the Udogie left.

The Spurs signed the defender of Austria Kevin Danso de Lens in the January window, but they had an offer by the captain of the Crystal Palace Marc Guehi rejected yesterday.

The northern London team is going to Liverpool on Thursday in the second leg of its semifinal of the EFL Cup, leading 1-0 of the first game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
