Voldex announced today that he has acquired Roblox’s life simulation title, Brookhaven. The UGC title, created by the Wolfpaq developer in 2020, has grown in one of Roblox’s most popular experiences, with its page with 60 billion visits. According to Voldex, the acquisition is possible thanks to its recent capital increase transactions, although the exact price of the acquisition was not revealed.
The Brookhaven store page describes it as “a place to hang out with people and role -playing games”, with servers where players can own houses, drive cars and, in general, explore the open world. Voldex acquired Brookhaven from Wolfpaq, with Alex Singer, CEO of Voldex, saying about the acquisition: “This acquisition is transformative for Voldex. We are honored that Wolfpaq has entrusted Brookhaven. We are committed to being great administrators of the incredible world he has created and the vibrant community that makes it special. “
Voldex’s business is mainly found in Roblox games, both through creation and through acquisition. Last April, the company acquired Ultimate Football, one of Roblox’s highest cuttings, and sank it in the NFL Universe Football in association with the NFL. Voldex also has Roblox’s #1 driving game, called Driving Empire.
Raine Partners led capital financing, with the Makers Fund, Qia, Mit, Tirta Ventures and Lalotte Ventures participating. The additional debt financing also increased by Shamrock Capital, with the participation of the credit funds of the Management of Ares and Cadma Capital Partners.
Todd Rosoff, partner of Raine and Head of Gaming, said in a statement: “In Raine, we are always looking for opportunities to invest in categories leaders with the potential to remodel industries. Voldex stands out as one of the strongest companies in its sector, with a significant growth potential ahead. Our investment reflects our confidence in the Games sector, and we are excited to collaborate with Alex and the Voldex team to boost continuous expansion and success. “
