The sequelae of Jurassic Park will finally be explored (but not as you think)

For a franchise as great as “Jurassic Park” https://www.slashfilm.com/ “Jurassic World”, it is a bit surprising how few AAA video games have been launched linked over the years. We may have had Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo games in the past, but seen through a modern lens, they are at best a novelty. Fortunately, finally, universal and knowing interactive are bringing us the game promoted by the story that many fans have been waiting for a lot of time in the form of “Jurassic Park: Survival”. Now, almost two years after it was announced for the first time, we have received a significant update in the form of an appearance below.

The video sees the creative team of the “Jurassic Park: Survival” that is deeply immersed in the creation and development process behind the game, which takes place one day after the events of the original “Jurassic” movie. The players assume the role of the scientist of Engineer, Dr. Maya Joshi, who could not evacuate Nublar Island and is forced to survive among the dintings escaped. The “Jurassic Park: Survival” advertisement trailer was reduced in December 2023, with few and distant updates since then. That makes this feature film even more important, since it ensures fans that the game is still happening. Beyond that, its content suggests that this will be worth the wait.

Holding that responsibility, the footage demonstrates how hard the game artists are working to be an authentic experience. For lifelong fans, this means that we will finally see what happened immediately after the collapse of John Hammond’s dream. Since the sequelae of films such as “The Lost World: Jurassic Park” take place years later and in different places, that is something that we have never been able to really witness in the past.

“We work very closely with our partners and with Amblin and our filmmakers to make sure we capture the island and all dinosaurs in great detail,” added Lisa Saint Amand, Executive of Projects of the “Jurassic World” franchise.

This video presents impressive and thorough recreations of family places of the original “Jurassic” Park, completes an intense amount of details. In fact, it seems that an exhaustive amount of research has been poured so that this game is correct in general. However, more intriguing is the fact that the “Survival of the Jurassic Park” will visit parts of Isla Nubmar that have never been represented on the screen before (such as the hotel that was under construction there). I can only speak for myself, but since “Jurassic Park” is my personal favorite movie of all time, this is deeply exciting.

“We pass through the room per room, in the game, level by level, we observe all the possible resources of the films of the film, production images, production plans, to ensure that each accessory is in the same place,” said John Melchior, an executive producer of universal products and experiences.

One of the most impressive things is that Universal decided to boldly go the “Park” brand for the game. After “Jurassic World” literally became one of the most successful films in 2015, the franchise has largely led with “world” for its brand. “However, the survival of the Jurassic world” dates back to 1993 to review a world that Steven Spielberg created. That means that he is also taking advantage of a very different type of nostalgia in a way that, if executed correctly, could be very rewarding.

The notion of making a first -person survival game and driven by history within this franchise feels very behind. As for why he is taking so long? The creative team of the game makes clear in the video that “they are taking the time to do justice.” Is it perhaps frustrating to have to wait several years for a game after it is announced? Yes, but it is much better to know than those involved in making them try to do the job well instead of hurrying it.
