TCL is showing a new phone in IFA 2025. A late participant of the modern mobile market, the company tries to differentiate its devices with Nxtpaper Eyen-Comfort Screen Tech. The new NXTPAPER 60 Ultra is the first TCL phone in presenting the latest version of that technology, which introduced for the first time on a tablet in CES 2025.
The idea behind Nxtpaper is to achieve a balance between electronic paper and OLED screens, relieveing visual fatigue without sacrificing the color range or update rates. Its characteristics at the hardware level include the blue light filtering, an anti-flange matte layer and a blunt control without flickering. One of its most ordered aspects is the ink mode, which can change to a presentation with E ink with the pressure of a dedicated button. TCL says that version 2025 of screen technology (Nxtpaper 4.0) brings more clear details, more precise color and ocular comfort modes conducted by AI.
Looking beyond the characteristics of the eyes, the NXTpaper 60 Ultra is an Android medium range phone. It has a wide 7.2 -inch screen with an 120Hz update rate with 1080p resolution. It is driven by a mediatek dimensity 7400 processor and 12 GB of RAM. (An additional 12 GB is available through virtual RAM). The phone has a three -cameras configuration, which includes a 50MP of 50MP periscope Teleobjective sensor. (That camera provides 3x optical zoom and 6x zoom “without losses” through digital tricks). The phone has a 5,200 mAh battery.
At least for now, the NXTPAPER 60 Ultra will only be launched in Europe, Latin America and Asian markets. It will be available there at the end of this month, with a price of € 499 for storage of 256 GB and € 549 for 512 GB.
