According to reports, Israeli forces and drones have killed dozens in the last attacks against people looking for help in Gaza.
Violence, carried out as Palestinians, waited for help in the distribution sites throughout the enclave on Tuesday, may have killed up to 50 people in total, according to Palestinian workers and witnesses, although the figures remain not verified.
The murders are the last in a wave of daily distribution points of Carnage Near AID established at the end of last month by the controversial Humanitarian Foundation of Gaza (GHF) Israeli and backed by the United States, which the head of the United Nations Agency for Palestinian refugees (UNHRA) has labeled a “death trap.”
Sources in Gaza hospitals told Al Jazeera that up to 50 people had been killed by the Israeli fire near the aid distribution centers from dawn, along with another 21 throughout the territory.
Medical sources reported that at least 25 people died in an incident on Salah Al-Din street south of Wadi Gaza in Center of Gaza, according to the Associated Press news agency. More than 140 people were injured, 62 of them critically.
The images published on the Instagram social media site, and verified by the Sanad de Al Jazeera agency, showed that the bodies were taken to the Al-Awda hospital in the nearby Nuseirat refugee camp.
Similar scenes were reported from Nasser’s medical complex to Khan Young, after not verified reports that the Israeli army had attacked people who expected help on Al-Tina Street.
The people who approach a help point in the city of Gaza were also killed, Hani Mahmoud of Al Jazeera said from the city in the north of the territory, as well as Rafah in the south.
“The casualties took several health centers, including the Al-Shifa hospital (in the city of Gaza),” he said. “The emergency room there became a bloodbath, and many died waiting for medical attention.”
The witnesses told AP that the Israeli forces had opened fire when people approached the help trucks.
“It was a massacre,” said Ahmed Halawa, informing that the tanks and drones had shot “even when we were fleeing.”
The Israeli army said he was reviewing reports of fire victims by his troops after a group of people approached the soldiers in an area near the Netzarim militarized corridor.
Israel has said that the previous shootings near GHF’s help sites have been caused by the “suspect” approach to the soldiers.
Witnesses and humanitarian groups have said that many of the shootings took place without prior notice.
‘Death trap’
The murder of help search engines has become an almost daily event since the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) took over the distribution of food and other vital supplies.
The Foundation launched its aid distribution program at the end of May after Israel had completely cut off the supplies in Gaza for more than two months, which caused mass hunger warnings.
The United Nations have refused to work with the GHF, citing the concerns that prioritizing Israeli military objectives on humanitarian needs and condemned him for his “weapon” of help.
GHF distribution sites have been plagued by chaos and butcher scenes. More than 400 people have been killed and 1,000 injured by Israeli soldiers since the deployment of Aid GHF began.
The UN agency chief for Palestinian refugees, Philippe Lazzarini, said Tuesday that the Gaza aid distribution system was “an abomination.”
“The newly created help mechanism is an abomination that humiliates and degrades desperate people,” he said at a press conference in Berlin. “It is a death trap that costs more lives than it saves.”
In LETTER PUBLISHED On Monday, the International Commission of Jurists, an NGO of Human Rights of lawyers and prominent judges, joined 14 other groups to condemn the GHF and asking for “the end of private militarized humanitarian aid operations in Gaza.”
Philip Grant, executive director of NGO Trial International, based in Geneva, said that the Model of Military and Private Help delivery of GHF “violates the central humanitarian principles.”
He added that those who enabled or benefited from GHF’s work faced a “real risk of prosecution due to complicity in war crimes, including forced transfer of civilians and hunger for civilians as a method of war.”
