Paul Gascoigne was taken to the hospital on Friday night after collapsing at his home in Poole, Dorset, according to reports.
The former 58 -year -old England star was found in a semi -conscious state of her room by nearby friend Steve Foster, who quickly acted to call her medical attention.
Gascoigne was initially admitted in intensive care before being transferred to an acute medical unit. For Saturday night, his condition had stabilized and no longer considered it in immediate danger.
Foster shared a message of gratitude on behalf of the football icon, saying that Gascoigne “would like to thank everyone for the support he received so far from so many old friends who wish him the best and want to see him back to his best moment.”
He added: “Paul is in the hospital, which is the best possible place to be now.”
According to reports, family members, including Gascoigne’s daughter, Bianca and her two sisters, are informed of their progress.

Gascoigne is still one of the most beloved football figures in England. He rose to national fame during the 1990 World Cup, where his emotional reaction at the semifinal departure of England against Western Germany attracted him to millions.
During a 19 -year -old race, he won 57 caps in England, won a FA Cup with Tottenham Hotspur and claimed two league titles with Rangers. He delivered one of the most emblematic goals in the history of English football in Euro ’96, scoring a dazzling solo effort against Scotland.
Despite his brilliance at the launch, Gascoigne has long fought in personal demons both during and after his football career. He retired in 2004, and his life after the game has been affected by health and addiction struggles.
