Dozens of Democratic legislators who left Texas to block a controversial redistribution effort of districts ended their two -week confrontation on Monday, allowing progress in a new electoral map backed by Republican President Donald Trump. His return gives the Texas Chamber that the quorum needed to advance with the approval of a map that adds five new congress districts that probably favor Republicans before the mid -period elections of 2026.
