Many families and travelers claim the vacation of their dreams, weddingand birthday trips quickly turned into nightmares after booking excursions through Destiny Travel NY. The families believe that the company and its owner, Tomas TaviaThey stole their money and then canceled their trips without even booking their flight packages. Additionally, they alleged that they did not receive refunds.
Tavia Thomas has since denied the allegations and an investigation is underway.
Now, The shadow room Justin Carter is also investigating the matter in ‘TSR investigates.’
Carter initially spoke with Denise Perez-Horton. He planned to get married abroad, in Mexico, with a guest list of 80 people. Additionally, the balance of the trip was expected to be divided among the group. And paid in full 45 days before your departure.
“The final payment comes and I say, ‘Okay, where’s the reservation number?’” Perez-Horton reminded Carter. “…She says, ‘Well, the resort had a kid who got electrocuted in the pool…and they have mold and…’ downplaying the resort, and I’m like, ‘What?’ What’s going on?'”
According to Carter, the group’s reservation was moved to another resort. Despite this apparent resolution, Pérez-Horton and his guests have allegedly still not received confirmation of their flight. Then, upon calling the resort, Perez-Horton learned that the company “never” received his reservation.
“And I just say, ‘Why? Because? Why don’t you have it? Perez-Horton recalled.
According to Perez-Horton, her and her guests’ money went directly into Thomas’ bank account. To make matters worse, their wedding was also cancelled.
“She’s doing this from state to state, and the crazy thing is also that she’s doing this only to black people.” Perez-Horton told Carter.
