Social networks are sharing reactions to some old photos of GloRilla.
According to Local Memphis, earlier this week, GloRilla made a $25,000 donation to his alma mater, Melrose High School. The outlet reports that the donation “will go toward improving educational resources at the school.”
More specifically, a new space will be created in the library that will allow students to “use technology that enhances their learning in a safe study space accompanied by flexible seating.” Additionally, the space will reportedly be renamed the Gloria H. Woods Media Center.
On Wednesday, December 18, Glo reportedly appeared at school when the announcement was shared. Scroll down to see what he looks like and to see an early photo of Glo from the school yearbook.
Later, the rapper also took to social media to share a photo from her time as a student at Melrose.
Social media users reacted to Glo’s throwback photo on The Shade Room comments section..
Instagram user @imreallyhim85 wrote: “They say Glo was fighting in the cafeteria at 7:00 am in the morning 😂”
While Instagram user @themaniac_mcclainiac added: “She used to have a sour patch and hot Cheetos in her bag in high school 😭”
Instagram user @tylermnewkirk wrote, “My girl went from Gloria Hallelujah to HALLELUJAH GLORRRRYYY! 🔥🥰”
While Instagram user @houseofcyndarella aggregate, “She is exactly who she thinks she is✨️ #LetHerCook 🤍”
Instagram user @iamj_ro wrote: “That’s definitely GLORY in that first photo 😂”
While Instagram user @taureanmeacham added: “It’s great to see these younger artists contributing much earlier in their careers compared to previous generations. Say what you want about the content, these young adults are giving it back to you. Just think, a few years ago she was singing FNF and people were more concerned about her looks than her stage presence. Watching her Glo-Up (pun intended) makes me happy. Say hello to Big Glo, not the little one.”
Instagram user @chefanthonydc wrote: “The photo on the left is how the girls dressed going to the club 2003-2010″
While Instagram user @amor.ayonna added: “She looks like Gloria dressed in white 😂 Glo, my girl, hahaha”
As The Shade Room previously reported, earlier this week, Yung Miami also gained attention after posting a carousel of throwback photos on social media. The carousel featured a slew of movies from the rapper’s childhood and showed her with an eyebrow-raising hairstyle.
What do you think, roommates?
