Snap is imposing a new storage limit in the Memories of Snapcat, which has accumulated impressive numbers since its introduction in 2016. According to SNAP, users have saved more than one billion memories on their platform, and is now introducing “memories storage plans” for users who exceed 5 GB of memories.
In Press releaseSnap explained that the introductory storage plan allows up to 100 GB of memories storage for $ 1.99 per month. Snapchat+subscribers, who pay $ 3.99 per month, will obtain up to 250 GB of storage, while Snapchat’s highest level platinum subscribers will obtain 5 TB included with their monthly cost of $ 15.99.
Snap said that a “vast majority” of its Snapchat users will not notice any change since they are far from reaching the limit of 5 GB. For users who cling to thousands of snapshots, the company is now implementing these storage plans. To relieve the transition from unlimited storage to pay options, Snap will give any person greater than 5 GB of memories a year of temporary storage. These new storage subscriptions follow Snap’s last paid option for its LENS+subscription, which costs $ 9 per month.
