A new hard drive based on the much-promised heat-assisted magnetic recording (HAMR) technology is almost here. reported that a new sales page appeared on Seagate’s website announcing a new (HDD) with 3 TB per platter with three times the energy efficiency per terabyte compared to other hard drives.
