“I’m so excited,” Grace, 18, said. Us weekly exclusively at iHeartRadio’s Z100 Jingle Ball in New York City on December 13. “It’s really crazy. I have a handbag and it has Ulrich Plate and Matthew Lillard that I carry with me everywhere.”
Along with Ulrich and Lillard, the original Shout The distribution was completed with David Arquette, Neve Campbell and Courtney Coxand the last two actresses will also star in the new film, which will be released in February 2026.
Although she was born a decade after the 1996 film’s release, Grace is very familiar with the OG cast.
“I work in comics and I once snuck into one of the photo shoots so I could take a photo with the original. Shout cast,” he said. Us. “I’m a big fan. “It has been the hardest secret to keep from my friends, but I am very excited.”
Grace’s casting for the slasher film comes after a series of casting changes over the last year. In November 2023, it became known that Shout (2022) and Shout 6 (2023) lead Melissa Barrera was fired from the upcoming film after she expressed support for Palestine. That same month, Jenna Ortega abandoned the project due to scheduling conflicts.
In March, Campbell announced that he would return as Sidney Prescott in the upcoming film (after skipping Scream VI), and this fall, Shout franchise students Mason Gooding and Cox confirmed that they will also star Shout 7.

“(Horror) is really where my heart lives,” he said. Us. “I love horror movies. It’s what I grew up with my dad. I was such a weird kid growing up. All my favorite movies were horror movies. Tim Burton (The movies) were my favorite animated movies, so I was always really into spooky things and Halloween.”
He continued: “It’s crazy for me to do those kinds of movies that I grew up with, plus the sequels. It’s very, very strange. It’s very surreal.”
While Grace was coy about the plot of the upcoming film, she told Us that “all I can say is that I am very excited.”
