Real and veterans Mark Vj Day 80 years in

The king and the queen led a two -minute silence in a service in Staffordshire to commemorate 80 years since VJ day.

Among the attendees were veterans, some of whom participated in the ceremony by placing crowns and giving readings.

The day of VJ, or the victory over Japan’s day, is marked every year on August 15, the date in 1945 when Japan surrendered to the allied forces and ended the World War.
