Ratcliffe and Ineos preparing more writing at Manchester United

According to reports, Manchester United’s co -owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is considering another round of employment cuts as part of continuous cost savings measures in the club.

United Senior figures have confirmed that additional cost reduction strategies are being explored, and the club lost almost 300 million in the last three years. A source described the situation as “unsustainable.”

While the club has not directly approached the reports that suggest that the ineos group, chaired by Ratcliffe, is contemplating between 100 and 200 layoffs.

Another possible cost reduction movement implies the possible closure of the United Office in London in Kensington.

However, club officials insist that they will continue to have a presence in the capital to focus on global marketing and commercial associations.

Ineos has already implemented significant reductions, including the cut of 250 jobs, discontinuing the role of Sir Alex Ferguson as a paid ambassador and ending free trips for staff for the final of the Cup.

The reasoning behind these measures is to redirect the funds to strengthen the team of the first team. It was estimated that the previous round of redundancies will save the club around £ 45 million per year.

Jackie Kay, head of Operations of the United team, will leave after almost three decades at the club. His departure marks another significant change under the leadership of Ratcliffe.

In December, Ratcliffe warned that “difficult and unpopular decisions” would be necessary to move the club in the direction it imagines.

Many United employees, including some already affected by employment cuts, recognize that the club had “swollen” in terms of personnel. However, the scope of the reductions has left many surprised and frustrated.

Ratcliffe has already injected £ 300 million in Manchester United, with a significant portion assigned to update Carrington’s training and planning for a possible possible stage.
