Hindustan Unilever Ltd (Hul) has announced that Priya Nair will assume the position of managing director and executive director, as of August 1, 2025.
Nair, who currently serves as president of the Business Group – Beauty & Wellbeing in Unilever, supervises a portfolio of € 13 billion in global markets. She will happen to Rohit Jawa, who will renounce her role at the end of the business on July 31, 2025. Jawa, who became the MD and CEO of Hul in 2023, resigns after a mutual agreement with the Board, concluding a distinguished 37 -year career with Unilever that included leadership roles in China and the Philippines.
An experienced Unilever executive with almost 30 years of experience, Nair has held several outstanding positions in Hul, including the executive director for home care, as well as beauty and personal care, where he headed the growth of flagship brands such as Dove, Rin and Comfort. She also served as the World Marketing Director of Beauty and Welfare, promoting digital and brand transformation strategies worldwide.
Nair has a Sydenham College trade title and an MBA from the Symbiosis Business Management Institute, Pune. He has also completed executive education at Harvard Business School.
In an exchange presentation, Hul highlighted Nair’s achievements as Global CMO, noting that he has created social marketing approaches, expanded innovation driven by influencers and launched global campaigns aimed at repositioning Unilever’s beauty brands to attract young and digital consumers.
Hul’s shares closed at RS 2,407.00, at 0.68 %. The action has gained 3.66% in the year in which it will be carried out.
