The former Biden administration official, Pete Buttigieg, said that the approach of the Democratic Party to promote diversity was too heavy and led to the election of President Donald Trump.
“What do we mean when we talk about diversity? Is it careful of people’s different experiences and make sure that no one is mistreated by them, so I will always fight? Or is it making people feel through a training which looks like some portland, which I have also experienced, “said Buttigieg.
“And this is how Trump’s Republicans are made,” Buttigieg added.
Speaking in a forum entitled “The future of the Democratic Party,” Buttigieg replied to the criticism of moderator David Axelrod of the “election of the president of the National Democratic Committee” that occurred earlier this month.

The Forum was organized by the University of Chicago’s Policy with the guest speakers Justin Bibb, the mayor of Cleveland, and the representative Marie Gluesenkamp Pérez, D-WA.
Axelrod added that the election of the president of the National Democratic Committee “seemed to become a kind of, such as, we need a Zurdo Mongol
Pérez responded first by saying: “What load of ST”, disapproving the insistence of the DNC to appeal to the identity of the Americans.
After the congresswoman’s comments, Axelrod addressed Buttigieg, asking how the Democratic Party can avoid being seen as a “cartoon” in that way.
Buttigieg explained that the DNC event “was a cartoon of everything” evil with the ability of the Democratic Party “both to coast and party and to reach those who do not always agree” with them.

“If that comes to your workplace with the best intentions, but in reality it does not reach what we are doing, what really matters here, what is really at stake,” said Buttigieg.
“I think, and this may sound contradictory, if we take real values more seriously and did not update vocabularies and try to serve everyone only in terms of their particular portion of combinations of identities versus the shared project.”
“It is a problem, especially for white men and men,” Bibb said. “Both educated and unadjusted white men,” Bibb added.
Democrats have been reflecting on their electoral defeat since November. Many have pointed out the inability of the party to reach young men and worker voters. Some Democrats highlighted the excessive emphasis of attacking Trump instead of developing a viable economic plan.

Bibb, president of the Association of Democratic Mayors, said the party has been too “soft.” He also explained that mayors are vital for the reform of the Democratic Party.

“We, as a party, have to do a better job to meet people where they are and embrace the lived experience of people. Unfortunately, I think we have become too soft as part. The fact that President Trump was the first president of The story to go to the Super Bowl or appear in an UFC fight, mean, democrats, it is good to be great and go to cultural events, and it could be booed, but that is the game, that is what I know record “
