Newcastle’s manager Eddie Howe says he doesn’t expect his team to change before the end of the transfer window after striker Miguel Almiron left this week.
Almiron returned to the MLS Atlanta side for £ 8 million, but Howe does not expect to replace it with a new firm.
He said: “We knew, except something huge, that we did not expect it to be a window in which we could recruit.
“I have said it from the beginning and, despite being linked to numerous players, that remains the case.
“We are not actively looking for players, but we hope that the squad is in a decent place if we can get Callum Wilson and Harvey Barnes in shape and shoot in a few weeks. I think the squad will look good.
“As we are now, not currently (I see more jumps), but things can change. While we are standing at this time, I hope the team remains the same. ”

The striker Wilson has made only four appearances for the club this season while fighting with an injury, but is back in training, while Barnes end will be ready for another three weeks.
“It is probably not ideal for us at this time to be light in that position, but it is what it is and I have always said that I have no problem treating that,” Howe said.
“I am trying to make the most of the situation, so we will see solutions and players in different positions if necessary. That is my job to try to find a solution if that happens. “
