New York Jets lose a key offensive player for serious injuries before opening the season with Steelers

The New York Jets have suffered a great blow of injury before their first game of the season, with the Guardian Alijah Vera-Tucker going down only four days before their clash with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Multiple reports claim that Vera-Tucker has suffered a serious arm injury that may require surgery.

The news comes as a potentially fundamental setback before Aaron Glenn’s first game as the new Jets chief coach.

The Jets Field Marshal, Justin Fields, playing against the team for whom he started six games last year, will have a difficult task against a fearsome pass of the Steelers, and that challenge will be even more difficult without Vera-Tucker.

A USC First Round Draft selection, Vera-Tucker has established itself as the best offensive liner of Jets in four seasons in the Metlife Stadium. Their absence would leave them with a substantial hole inside their offensive line.

How will Vera-Tucker aircraft replace?

Vera-Tucker was appointed for the All-Rookie team in 2021 despite allowing 42field seafood pressures, for professional football. Since then, it has never allowed more than 16 in a season.

Replace it will be a difficult challenge, but the jets have multiple options.

Xavier Newman appears as the right support guard, although he has started only 10 games in his three -year career.

Most likely, Jets move to Joe Tippmann or Josh Myers from Centro to another. Myers is the support center, but took representatives of the first team during the training camp when the left guard John Simpson took care of an injury, allowing Tippmann to move to protect himself.

Look for the planes to slide Tippmann to the right side in response to this setback. The Max Mitchell backup backle also has the flexibility of playing guard if the jets see it as a better option.
