Netflix false K-Pop groups are devastating transmission records





As the pop culture of South Korea continues to dominate the world, Netflix’s animated film “Kpop Demon Hunters” effectively combines influences and leans in the international attraction of Korean entertainment. Mixing energetic pop songs with K-Drama stories narration stakes, the film has headed Netflix’s transmission lists and the original animation proven can still prosper. However, beyond the success of the transmission of the film, the soundtrack of production is also breaking albums, with its main single “Golden” now for the consideration of the awards. This impressive popularity on multiple fronts is a clear testimony of the growing ubiquity of South Korean entertainment throughout the world and points out that the country’s cultural propagation is only gaining impulse.

For not initiated, “Kpop Demon Hunters” is an animated musical about a group of K-pop girls that hunt the demons, as the title suggests. The story focuses on Hent/X, a group of girls who enjoy global success and at the same time hunt demons and use their musical skills to maintain a magical barrier that protects the world. In response, Demon King Gwi-Ma (Lee Byung-Hun) creates a band of rival boys, the Saja Boys, who are disguised as demons that use their popularity to drain the souls of fans. Leading up/x is Rumi (Arden Cho), who is secretly demonic and torn by his inheritance while defeating demons through his music. This leads to a musical confrontation between Hentr/X and The Saja Boys, with Rumi revealing a new song capable of breaking the drainage spell of Gwi-Ma’s soul.

All this is a delicious animated adventure of Bubblegum Pop, but there are some really impressive feats that “Kpop Demon Hunters” has achieved since its launch of June 2025.

Multi-Frontal Domain of Demon Hunters

While “Kpop Demon Hunters” premiered respectable transmission numbers in Netflix, with more than nine million viewers worldwide, rather than doubled his audience in his second week. For an industry that sees a constant audience wear after the debuts, the animated film challenged that trend, with more than 24 million additional viewers who broadcast the film only in their second week (through Variety). The positive critical reaction of the film and the strong mouth to mouth have probably promoted their power of permanence, with the film winning an impressive 95% score of critics in Rotten Tomatoes. Even so, it is the musical achievements of the “Kpop demon hunters” that are among the most revealed and important of production.

Since the film’s soundtrack made its online debut, it has regularly exceeded the transmission lists in Spotify, with the album also released in #8 in the Billboard Hot 200 list. The success of the soundtrack “Golden” has even exceeded the production of the group of girls of real life Blackpink (whose smooth member now is also a star of acting thanks to “The White Lotus”) to become BBC). Meanwhile, the single from Saja Boys “Your idol” has replicated that success, overcoming BTS’s work as the K-Pop song directed by the highest men. K-Pop had already become a musical power throughout the world, and the “KPOP demon hunters” wisely take advantage of that growing fans base for their own commercial success.

Given the popularity of the transmission of the movie “Kpop Demon Hunters” and its soundtrack that accompanies it, the pop culture of South Korea remains a force to take into account. And with successful songs and a family story, the film is a clear sign that the global presence of Corean Entertainment is here to stay.
