Gabriel Martinelli insists that Myles Lewis-Skelly respects Erling Haaland despite Arsenal’s young man who seems to make fun of Manchester City striker in yesterday’s clash in the Emirates.
Lewis-Skelly scored the third goal of Arsenal in his 5-1 victory with City that crumbled after Haaland had dragged them level with an imposing header.
There was a career theme throughout the game with Arsenal players apparently trying to irritate Haaland after the Norwegian told the chief of the Gunners Mikel Arteta to “stay humble” after the 2-2 draw in Manchester in principles of the season.

‘He respects a lot’
Haaland’s father, the former city midfielder and Leeds, Alfie-Linge, had a pop in Arsenal after yesterday’s game, but Martinelli insisted that there was no lack of respect for former Borussia Dortmund man.
The Brazil striker told The Independent: “I don’t know if it was planned (the celebration), but, sure, respect a lot.
“He scored an incredible goal, and has been brilliant recently. We are very happy for him. “
Haaland pointed out the flagship of the winner of the Premier League in his shirt while applauding traveler fans in the final whistle, increasing the animosity between the sides.

Arsenal is still trying to win the League – Martinelli
Martinelli added: “There are two teams who want to win the championship, so that is a fight.
“We did our best and also did everything possible. We have to win duels to win these games and that is why the game becomes hard work. We did it well, and we are very happy with the result.
“We know our qualities, the team we have. Although we have some injured players, we know the quality we have in the team and we are doing our best for the club, for players who are injured and also for fans. We still have a long trip to go, many games for the end, but we are going to try to do everything possible to win the League. “

Martinelli said: “We are going to go there to win the game and score three, four, five. Let’s see, the game will be really difficult, sure. But we are going to do everything possible to win the game.
“It will be another battle. We know how difficult it is to play there. But, as I said, we have an incredible team and we have full confidence in our team and trust ourselves. Let’s go there to win. “
