A disturbing incident has come to light in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr district, where a vegetable seller was allegedly caught on video spitting vegetables. The video, which has gone viral on social media, led to the seller’s arrest. Police shared details about the case on Sunday.

Police in Anupshahr in Bulandshahr district arrested a vegetable seller on charges of spitting vegetables. The arrest came quickly after a video of the incident went viral on social media. The images show the seller, sitting at his stall, discreetly spitting on the product while trying to avoid attracting attention. During investigation, the accused was identified as Shamim, a resident of Naya Basti in Anupshahr police station area. Shamim operates a small vegetable shop in the local market.

Anupshahr Police Circle Officer (CO) Girja Shankar Tripathi gave details about the incident and stated that on December 14, police found a video showing a vegetable seller at a wholesale shop in the market allegedly contaminating vegetables. spitting them out repeatedly.

Upon reviewing the video, the police took swift action and registered a case against the accused, identified as Shamim, under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. Shamim was immediately arrested and after completing the necessary legal procedures, he was sent to prison, the CO confirmed.
