More than a dozen dead as Cyclone Chido devastates Mayotte in France

At least 14 people have died in the French overseas territory of Mayotte after Cyclone Chido devastated the Indian Ocean island on its way to east Africa, a security source told AFP on Sunday. French Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau said it would take several days to know the total death toll, which he warned was likely to be “high.”
