As a life player, I learned to fear these five words when they are used to describe a movie: “Based on a video game.” In the best case, you generally get something entertaining but clearly aimed at children (like an animated Super Mario Bros movie.); In the worst case, you end with something that fails as a film and as game adaptation (such as live action Super Mario Bros. movie). Fortunately, Werewolves within It is an almost perfect horror comedy and an almost perfect game adaptation.
The premise of Werewolves within (Based freely on the video game of the same name) is that a recently assigned forest rangers to a quiet city wants to settle and meet all its peculiar residents. When the Townies begin to appear dead, he must lead the position to discover who is a murderer before it is too late. It becomes increasingly clear that this threat is not entirely human, less than the rangers find the right people to trust, the entire city will end like a werewolf.

While the cast is tremendously talented (more about that very soon), the real reason Werewolves within It is so good is that it was directed by Josh Ruben, the same director who brought us Scare me (a personal favorite) and, more recently, Heart eyes. Ruben has established himself as a true triple threat (he wrote, directed and starred Scare me) Who is a great rising star in the world of terror. It is not John Carpenter (at least not yet), but if you like fear movies, Ruben is a name in which you can always trust to deliver.
In Werewolves withinoffers a great cast, including Sam Richardson (better known for his role in Verbal), who is all warm charisma as a kind threatener. Richardson’s character is on his head before the first body falls to the ground.

Harvey Guillén (better known for genre fans for their role in What we do in the shadows), Meanwhile, a colorful yoga guru and Catherine Curtin play (better known for Orange is the new black) Interpret the owner of the shelter turned into the scene of the growing. Wayne Duvall (better known for Oh brother, where are you?) It is quite natural to play an entrepreneur larger than life.
While Richardson is excellent as the protagonist, the highlight of Werewolves within It is Milana Vayntrub, who plays a perfectly cheerful postal woman. Vayntrub remains better known for its role in several iconic AT&T commercials, but got into the amplitude of a Squirrel Girl interpretation hair in the MCU. She is so wonderfully wonderful here that every time I see him again (which is quite frequently), I am increasingly convinced that Marvel was lost by not having this burning stunner in his cinematographic universe.

Collectively, the cast gives life to a film that alternates between comfort (boy, do I want to spend some nights in that lodge?) And the spooky (when the fur begins to fly, this movie can be really scary). The characters have a great chemistry with each other and create the type of great vibrations that will keep you looking at you. Trust me: if you are not hooked Werewolves within When Vayntrub begins to dance to the rhythm of a vintage record machine, it is possible to verify it to see a pulse.
People do crazy on the full moon, including critics. Although horror often turns off professional reviewers, Werewolves within He groaned his way to a critical score of 86 percent in Rotten Tomatoes. The reviewers praised the film for being a comedy of horror that served moments of laughter along with serious scares. That is my favorite type of movie, and did not take Werewolves within To become one of my favorite comforting food films to see every time I need to enjoy some good drilling lines soaked with blood.

Will you agree that Werewolves within Is it a comedy of classic and murderous horror that ignored, or is it this film that would like to film with a silver bullet? He will not know until he transmits it into Hulu and see what the entire fluff is about (er, uproar). Then, I think you will adopt my simple plan to fix modern cinema: more Josh Ruben behind the camera and more Milana vayntrub in front of her!
