Gary Neville has launched a scathing advice of the current disappearance of Manchester United, ensuring that they have started “much worse” under Ruben Amorim than when Erik Ten Hag was in charge.
Crystal Palace gave them the last shame of the Red Devils this season, who defeated them 2-0 in Old Trafford on Sunday in what was their seventh loss under Amorim.
United has lost five of its seven games at home since the appointment of the former CP Sporting manager in November, a form streak for the 20 -time Premier League champions.
Amorim himself has said that the current team could be the worst in the history of the club, since he continues to try to implement his style in the players without too success.
And the former right side Neville believes that the season could get worse before I improve for United.
“I thought it would improve when Ruben Amorim He entered, he said in The Podcast Gary Neville. “I thought that enthusiasm and the new system, I thought they would buy it from the players, and see a rebound.
“We have seen the opposite absolute. It has much worse and that is surprising.

He continued: “But there will be much more pain towards the end of the season and will be harmful.
“Obviously they will continue with Ruben Amorim, but the more you lose, the more difficult it is to convince the players of the idea. The idea he spoke in the first days.
“You need players to buy it, but if they lose with it, and are still criticized, the center of attention is presented more and fans are unhappy.
“You can’t keep losing. It will depress the thoughts of the players, to the point that they will lose faith with the idea.
“It will damage the beginning of the next season. You have to do something. You cannot change your focus because you have died in a ditch. And rightly. I think he has lost more games in Manchester United Since he has come from what he lost in the last 75 in Sporting. “
Amorim raised his eyebrows against Palace when he opted for the surprising duo of banking Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund in favor of playing midfielder Kobbie Mainoo as a false nine.
He follows a public dispute with Marcus Rashford, who since then has left the loan club to Aston Villa after Amorim questioned his commitment to United’s cause.
But Neville says that while the 39 -year -old can be discontent with the current squad he has, it is important that he keeps his players in progress between now and the end of the campaign.
The Sky Sports expert added: “He will not enjoy this, but I think he has to simplify him. You may not like (Rasmus) Hojlund, you might not think that (Joshua) Zirkzee is excellent or other players might not like. You have to choose the players you have and stay with them.
“He can’t move on, since they have to start playing better, but where does it come from?
“But I have to say that at this time it is an unfortunate situation, a very unfortunate situation when United plays.”
