“As most of you know, I have been traveling a lot over the last few years and the constant travel has really taken a toll on my mental health,” Peters wrote on a shared text post via Instagram and X. “After much thought, I made the difficult decision to take a step back for now and focus on taking care of myself.”
Peters continued his heartfelt message to fans, writing that his decision to leave the tour was difficult.
“I love playing shows and being with all of you, so it wasn’t an easy decision: however, I need some time to recharge, spend more time with my family and make sure the album is everything I want it to be. . ” she continued, adding, “The most important thing is that I need to feel like the best version of myself again when I go on stage in front of all of you.”
He ended his statement with a shout-out to his fans, along with an apology for the change in plans.
“Thank you all for your incredible support,” he wrote. “I’m sorry to those I’m letting down and I hope you can understand. I’ll be cheering Kelsea on from the sidelines; she will put on the most incredible show and I am so excited for her. I love you all.”
In October, Peters wrote on social media that she was excited to open for Ballerini, citing her as one of her early influences.
“The secret is out, next year I will go on tour with Kelsea Ballerini,” he wrote at the time via Facebook. “Kelsea has been one of my favorite artists since I was a songwriting baby, screaming “love me like you mean it” into my iPod touch, and unfolding the welcome map was and continues to be so inspiring to me every time I hear it.” .

Ballerini’s tour will stop in 30 cities across the United States, kicking off on January 21, 2025 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He will be on tour to promote his latest album, titled Patterns.
