The head of the Nottingham forest, Nuno Espirito Santo, says that the FA Cup is ‘a competition that we love’ after his team moved to the last eight with a penalty victory over Ipswich in the city.
The Brian Clough forest legend could not win the famous trophy in its spell in charge, losing the 1991 final against Tottenham, and have spent 66 years since their last victory.
Ryan Yates’s header secured a 1-1 draw that forced a shooting, and goalkeeper Matz Sels was the hero when he saved Jack Taylor’s effort.
SAt the Pico de ITV, Nuno said: “The players did their job quite well. We compete well.
“The first half was flat for both teams. I am very happy that the boys did it and our fans are happy tonight.
“Now is the game by game. We have Manchester City in the league and then we can focus on the FA Cup. It is a competition that we love and we will do our best. “
When each team in the quarterfinals of the Cup FA of this season won the competition for the last time:

The goalkeeper Sels divered to his left to keep Taylor out after nine immaculate sanctions, and said his team is anxious to progress even more.
He said: “I am happy to be able to help the team next round. It was the only penalty for the one in the right corner. Before the game, you study penalties and take the wrong corner, but that was correct. I am happy for the team.
“The game was not so good. In the end, extra time is a bet, you don’t want to bet too much. On penalties one of the goalkeepers will be the hero. I am happy and I am looking forward to the weekend.
“We know what to do. The FA Cup is really pleasant. Some games and you can be in the final. “
