Lara Trump, daughter-in-law of US President-elect Donald Trump, has withdrawn her name from consideration for a Senate seat.
This month she resigned as co-chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC), fueling speculation that she could replace outgoing Sen. Marco Rubio, a Florida Republican, whom Trump has nominated for secretary of state.
