The former Judge and Entrepreneur of Shark Tank, Ashneer Grover, is ready to return in a new avatar as the intellectual author of another reality show Rise and Fall. Grover will organize the reality show of MX Player, where 16 contestants fight for power in a divided house.
In the teaser, the founder of Bharat Pe explains the concept of the series, describing a building divided into two sections: powerful and rich people “that make the whole world dance” in the upper section and the poor at the bottom.
Playing in his famous line of a line of Shark Tank India, season 1, Ashner added: “Lekin Kismat Ka Doglapan Mujhse Behtar Kaun Jaanta Hai? (Who knows the duality of destiny better than me?)”
Rise and Fall is an international show format, brought to India for the first time by Amazon MX Player. The program, an Indian adaptation of the similar British reality television series, brings together various contestants that represent all sections of society in an iconic skyscraper. They are divided into two groups: rulers and workers.
The rulers have the power to make decisions that will affect the lives of workers who have none. Meanwhile, these workers, who live in the hard conditions of the basement, strive to earn money and generate favor with those at the top. The cash prize begins at zero and is only built if workers successfully complete the work change tasks, supervised by the rulers.
Through a series of dramatic votes, the workers will become rulers and the rulers will fall into the basement or will be eliminated. Rise and Fall is distributed by All3media International and was originally a series of Lambert and Motion Studio content groups for Channel 4, the United Kingdom.
The transmission platform has not yet revealed the exact launch date for the program, which will be produced by Banijay Asia. The program occurs after the Grover season as a judge in the first season of the popular television reality show Shark Tank, which was broadcast between December 2021-February 2022.
