Team Sonic may not stand a chance against Shadow the Hedgehog (Keanu Reeves). If you know the history of Sega games, you know that things are going to get a lot more complicated when the iconic video game antihero makes his debut in Sonic the hedgehog 3. Anticipating the film’s release after this year’s release knuckles On Paramount+, here’s a look at Shadow unleashed and facing off against Sonic (Ben Schwartz), Tails (Colleen O’Shaughnessey), and Knuckles (Idris Elba).

The fun thing about the video above, apart from our heroes discovering that there is a new boss-level threat in the city, is that in Sonic the hedgehogThere’s actually a Keanu Reeves reference when Sonic watches Kathryn Bigelow’s movie. breaking point as Donut Lord (James Marsden) does from outside the house before becoming the franchise’s found family. So it’s a lot of fun to see Sonic fight against the voice of one of his heroes. Also, there should be some meta recognition in the next movie. And just like a Sonic fan, who last played the Dreamcast era of games featuring Shadow’s story, it’s amazing to see it all come to life on screen.
We’ll be waiting with tissues in hand to see his tragic backstory with Maria Robotnik, who is approached by Shadow while in Gerald Robotnik’s lab where he was created. Yes, that’s right, they are related to Eggman (Jim Carrey); has returned as the franchise’s archenemy, whom Team Sonic needs to recruit to stop his grandfather Gerald (also played by Carrey) and Shadow’s undoubtedly nefarious plans.
Sonic the hedgehog 3 opens in theaters on December 20. Look at the rest of the Sonic film franchise, including the knuckles series, on Paramount+.
