“Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes during this very scary experience. I’m still in shock from last night’s incident, but grateful to be alive today. With the passing of my beloved mother, the pain comes and goes in waves, and as Mother’s Day approaches, it feels more like a tsunami,” she told TMZ in March. “Last night I met a girlfriend for dinner, we talked and brought up some very emotionally sensitive topics. I was crying on the way home and I saw a car heading towards me. I swerved to avoid the head-on collision, hitting the median and then a tree. I’m hurt, a little bruised, but so grateful to be alive! “I received citations, one of which was unrelated to the incident, which is understandable, but the most surprising thing is that the car that almost hit me just drove away.”
And he concluded: “I would like to emphasize that it is important to understand the emotional state when driving and that this serves as a reminder to everyone to wear their seat belt. My mother may be my guardian angel, but the seat belt saved my life.”
