Actor Justin Baldoni is expressing his gratitude to the fans of “Finish with us.”

The star recently took a moment to wholeheartedly thank those who preserved the film’s message about domestic violence while in New York City. As Baldoni took photos and hugged several fans, a cameraman asked him what he would say to fans who might have noticed the negative reports surrounding “It Ends With Us.”

Instead of being picky, the “Jane the Virgin” alum took the high road.

“I just want to say ‘thank you’ to all the fans,” Baldoni said.

“Thank you for watching this movie, for supporting it, for supporting (domestic violence) survivors and for making sure the message wasn’t lost,” she continued. “I am very grateful.”

While saying goodbye to his fans, Baldoni was asked about his current situation with Lively.

Curiously, the actor chose to promote the streaming debut of “It Ends With Us” on Netflix.

“We are very grateful! The movie is already on Netflix,” he said, “so… thank you!”

Baldoni was more candid when asked what was next on his agenda.

“(I’m) taking a vacation with my family (and) my babies,” she said with a smile.

Lively was heavily criticized by fans for focusing on the non-serious aspects of the dark film

Among other aspects, Lively was criticized during the promotion of “It Ends With Us” for apparently focusing on more cheerful traits of her character, Lily Bloom.

For example, a short promo featured on the film’s official Instagram shows Lively with Colleen Hoover, the author behind the original novel, enthusiastically giving fans ideas on what to wear when watching the film.

“Gather your friends, put on your flowers and go out to see it,” says the actress with a smile.

Additionally, the debut of Lively’s hair care line, Blake Brown, coincided with the release of “It Ends With Us,” which led to the actress boosting her brand during a pop-up appearance in New York for her beverage companies. Betty Buzz and Betty Booze.

During an appearance on the “How to Fail” podcast with Elizabeth Day, the actor shared how directing the film often made him feel separated from the main cast.

“Directing is a very lonely job, I’ll be very honest,” Baldoni noted, “because you’re at the top of this totem pole. In your quiet moments, everyone has a thousand questions for you and no one wants to bother you.”

Playing the character of Ryle, who emotionally and physically abuses Lily, also caused him a lot of stress.

“[Ryle]lived in my body (for months), he explained. “The difficult thing about having (a character like that) in your body is having the trauma alive in (you) of what he has experienced.”

Still, he has never publicly uttered an unkind word about Lively.

“(Blake) is an all-encompassing creative who makes everything she touches better,” he said. Harper’s Bazaar India back in August.

“She was very in tune with the nuances of this performance for both of us,” Baldoni shared, “and I am so grateful for everything she did to make this film as beautiful as it is.”
