John Boyega thought that the trilogy of Star Wars sequel had a different plan for Finn and Rey

One of the largest warning stories of the last decade with respect to excess cinema is the trilogy of the “Star Wars” sequel. Without a doubt, the most polarizing franchise films of the 2010, the episodes VII, VIII and IX, remain a great discussion point for the fans of the Galaxia of George Lucas, very distant. Many would agree that, as individual films, sequelae can have their outstanding moments, but do not work in a consistent way as a story of three films due to the lack of planning among the creatives involved.

Basically, the trilogy of the sequel of “Star Wars” was a phone game with each ticket, with JJ Abrams establishing the foundation, just for Rian Johnson to respond with “The Last Jedi”, possibly the most divisive box office success of the century so far. Marketing led many to believe that Finn was being created to become Jedi, but the film finally revealed that it was a bad direction, with Finn losing to Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) in his duel at the base of Starkiller, just for King to handle Livero himself against him, emerging victorious.

While “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is, ultimately, the story of king learning to accept his destiny as a Jedi who wields the strength, the spectators still expected Finn to follow his example in the next two films despite the marketing turn. Unfortunately, while Finn was possibly a co-leader in the first film, his role was reduced in “The Last Jedi”, in which the writer/director Rian Johnson placed him in the most unpleasant subploitation of the film and did not approach the character sensitive to the character, which would be touched and briefly confirmed in the “rise of JJ Abrams.” Like other fans, John Boyega expected Abrams to prepare Finn with the sensitivity of force from the beginning, planning a dual Jedi approach to him and king. The fans and detractors of the trilogy of the sequel of “Star Wars” do not see much in sight, but one thing that seems to be universally agreed is that Finn deserved better. The story of a storm -sensitive storm defining the resistance and becoming a Jedi sounds exciting on paper, and still lasts to know that Finn remains the poster child due to the potential wasted in a film franchise. Listening to Boyega’s expectations with respect to a possible Dual Jedi story that faces Finn and Rey with each other is quite intriguing and could have helped differentiate the trilogy of the sequel to the previous six films. I only imagine that “The Last Jedi” ended up with King betraying Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and joining Kylo Ren, and at his lowest moment, Luke meets Finn, feels his potential for strength and agrees to train him with the hope that he can return King to light; An inverse of how Obi-Wan could not do it for Anakin.

The trilogy of the “Star Wars” sequel ends with a unsatisfactory note for many of its characters, including Finn. However, despite all his failures, JJ Abrams confirmed that Finn is sensitive to force, and if Lucasfilm brought him back to a new film, he could have the opportunity to become Jedi. With respect to the first official canon material established after “The Rise of Skywalker”, an next book entitled “Star Wars: The Last Order” could help exchange the trilogy of the sequel. The book will continue in Finn and Jannah (Naomi Ackie), embarking on a mission to bring a first -order officer responsible for kidnapping young perspectives to become stormtroopers to justice. This could serve as an opportunity to prepare Finn in the next chapter of his history, which could expand on his trip with force.

John Boyega previously revealed that he had a productive conversation with the president of Lucasfilm, Kathleen Kennedy, after expressing his disappointment for how “Star Wars” put aside Finn and other non -white characters. Although it is unknown if we will see him return in an upcoming film, we hope Finn receives a story that coincides with the potential established 10 years ago. After all, it looks good with a light saber!
