How section 31 is connected with Star Trek Khan Noonien Singh villain

The “Discovery” series, somewhat unpredictable, of “Star Trek”, could have reached an abrupt ending with its fifth season in 2024, but its legacy continues in the form of “Section 31”. Essentially a derived film that follows the exploits of the (Ex) Emperor Philippa Georgiou (Michelle Yeoh) as renegade in the confines of space, the most recent delivery represents as far as the franchise has ever felt home. Instead of a captain of the star fleet and a crew of loyal officers, a gang of misfits and possible saboteators takes us to a wild trip, all of which see Georgiou as little more than a means to achieve an end. But although this “Trek” movie feels completely different from any previous trek, a key detail of the character connects the “section 31” with the most famous villain of all of the property.

Each member of the special operations team in charge of finding and “persuading” Georgiou to help them in their mission houses their own secrets, and none more than the new incorporation Alok Sahar. Interpreted by Omari Hardwick, this antihero initially seems like a blank board. Of course, Alok inspires respect at the moment and proves to be the only agent capable of facing face to face with Georgiou herself. But while everyone else contributes a set of tools highly specialized to the fray, he mostly seems, well, a normal guy.

However, all our preconceived ideas change when Alok finally reveals what his complete treatment is. In fact It is: it is an “increase” whose origin is parallel to that of a certain superman of “Star Trek” called Khan Noonien Singh.

Despite covering unfathomable distances in light years, it turns out that, after all, the “Star Trek” galaxy is truly a small world. It was inevitable that “section 31” unearthed some of the darkest and most forgotten aspects of the franchise, mainly through a group of alien species and other minor Easter eggs.
