Aston Villa’s midfielder, Morgan Rogers, praised Thomas Tuchel’s “aura” and revealed how New England manager wants players to feel more connected to each other before the first German game in charge of Friday.
England receives Albania in a 2026 World Cup qualifier in Wembley before welcoming Latvia to London three days later.
Rogers, who won his first Limit of England against Greece in November under the interim manager Lee Carsley, was appointed in Tuchel Lions’s first team, which also includes Rogers teammate Marcus Rashford.
Such is the presence of the 51 -year -old German manager, who has won 11 main trophies, including the Champions League with Chelsea in 2021, that the dynamic midfielder said he felt forced to wear a suit and draw for his first interaction with Tuchel, a 15 -minute zoom call a few weeks ago.
“When I met him, his aura and his behavior, it is difficult to explain, but he already has that level of confidence, that level of respect,” Rogers said.
“You can see how it is, as you act. It has been so cold and quiet. But when it’s time to work, it’s time to work.
“You know what he has done in the game and the respect he has of the managers and players with whom he has worked. You know he is entering with some serious ideas and it is about taking it on board and learning from him.”

Rogers revealed that communication is an area that Tuchel has highlighted the improvement in the England team under his administration.
“It will not be perfect. It was about staying united and being together as one, and talking to people,” Rogers said.
“Just talk and be on that same page, that makes a big difference when you are playing.
“I know that first hand. Being in the clubs in which I have been, having the leaders that I have had in the locker room and in the countryside, having that person speaking constantly helps me. It helps you overcome sticky moments.”
Rogers, who has scored seven goals for Unai Emery team in the league this season, added that Tuchel had been “very clear and transparent” at the team’s meetings.
The 22 -year -old said: “The main thing I took from that was about the love and commitment he wants from us inside, how we want us to be a family, how we want us to be close and connected.”
“The presence is a bit different. Certain managers have different ways on them. Certainly, their aura is one that I have not experienced before. That is different from what I have faced before.”
