What would happen if the superhero movie with the worst mouth of Boca was secretly solid? That probably sounds too good to be true, especially in a world of fatigue after superhero, where even franchises known as the fantastic four extend at the box office. But despite everything you have heard The flash (The film that killed DCEU) is actually one of the best superhero movies of the modern era, and is now transmitting in Max.

The plot of The flash It is that our titular hero uses his travel ability in the freshly unlocked time to visit the past and prevent his mother from being killed. This changes the world that knows dramatically.
For example, the Justice League never formed, which is bad news because General Zod is about to invade the planet. Flash does everything possible to save the world, but it is soon clear that it will be needed more than the super speed to undo all the damage caused by the timeline.

The cast of The flash It is a real “who is who” to return DC’s talent, including Michael Shannon in his best mustache moment as invader Zod (which should not be confused with the invader Zim). Ezra Miller gives what can be a better career performance as a flash, one whose nuance ensures that we understand the broken humanity that hides behind a mask and some elegant powers. And Michael Keaton is having more fun on the screen that has done so in decadesrepeating 1989 Ordinance role that helped make him a family name.
While the newly arrived Sasha Street does a solid job like Supergirl (a very different from its previous appearances on screen and television), the true scenes thieves in The flash They are the rest of the characters that return making advantageous but memorable cameos.

The returnees include Ben Affleck, whose character of Bruce Wayne mentor the young Barry and at the same time share a laughter with the Wonder Woman of Gal Gadot. And, for better or worse, we get many more cameos on the Slop scene of AI now infamous from the film.

Some spoilers here, so continue (or not) accordingly: near the end of The flashThere is a scene aimed at showing the Multiverse DCEU. He does it through ugly scenes of everything, from Christopher Reeve and Margot Kidder in the original Superman, to Nicolas Cage as the steel man in the 90’s film that never saw the light of day. Here is the thing: although AI is obvious and amazing, I enjoyed the spirit of this scene and its celebration of television movies and programs that entertained comics fans decades Before the MCU was one thing.
Something infamous, The flash It was a box office pump: with a budget of more than $ 200 million, it only brought $ 271.4 million. That may seem profitable on paper, but takes into account the cost of marketing such a successful movie, and this movie lost enough money to make Bruce Wayne be Waince. It is estimated that the film lost at least $ 200 million, although some estimate that the loss can be closer to $ 300 million (think about how many batmobiles could build with all that cash!).

That leads us to a brutally honest question: why do I recommend that you see the flash after it made its way to become a box office pump? The flash is much better than its shameful box office indicates: it has memorable action scenes, an arc of convincing characters and more funny cameos than you can shake a belt of public services. In addition, although some of them could have been handled better (such as the nostalgia bait sequence of AI Slop near the end), the film works surprisingly well as a sincere love letter to almost 90 years of comic history of DC.

About Rotten Tomatoes, The flash It has a rating of 63 percent, which means that Scarlet Speedster barely obtained a “fresh” rating. More impressive, the film has an 81 percent audience score, which shows how the vast majority of viewers who see it really dug what they saw. So is: despite The flash ‘The toxic reputation as the film that killed DCEU, is actually one of the best films of this film universe.
Will you agree that The flash Is it one of the best DCEU movies, or would you prefer to return in time and prevent this movie from becoming? You will not know until you take advantage of the speed force and transmits it into Max. Then, you may want to travel to a different reality and see how DCEU could have been after this movie if it had not stopped.
