Before the confrontation of the OKC Thunder against the Dallas Mavericks on Friday, the NBA expert Marc J. Spears shared an important update on the recovery of Chet Holmgren. Holmgren has been out of action since November 10 of last year after suffering a brutal fracture of the right iliac wing during a match against the Golden State Warriors.
Initially, the Thunder announced that the 7 -foot 1 inches pivot would be reassessing within 8 to 10 weeks. Now, more than nine weeks later, the team has provided an update on the status of its precious player.
The former Gonzaga prominent will remain out of play for three to five more weeks while continuing his recovery process.

“Thunder says that Chet Holmgren continues to progress in his protocol back to the game and will be reassess in approximately three to five weeks,” Spears tweeted.
Recently, Chet Holmgren has been seen participating in light exercises during Thunder’s shootings before the games. In addition, the versatile great man joined the team on his recently completed four -game tour, having stopped using crutches.
Reflecting on their performance before the lesion, Holmgren appeared in 10 games, averaging some impressive 16.4 points with 50.5% of field shots, including 37.8% from beyond the arch. It also contributed with 8.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.6 caps per game, showing its general impact on both ends of the court.
OKC Thunder fans were excited after the team provided an update on the recovery of Chet Holmgren of their serious injury.

Meanwhile, OKC suffered a 106-98 defeat against the Mavericks when Holmgren and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander lost the game.
