Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank insists that there were “so many positive aspects” despite the fact that his team showed a two-go advantage to lose sanctions against Paris Saint-Germain in the final of the UEFA Super Cup.

“There is much to be happy, it is a flip of a currency when you go to a penalty shooting. We show that we could be tactical and pragmatic, high pressure, low defense, the first half was superior, almost perfect.
“We show that we can play against any team in the world. That is positive to take this away.”
Frank also admitted that while he was happy with the players at his disposal, he insisted that the team, which seems to be without James Maddison during most of the season after the midfielder suffered a LCA injury, could be strengthened before the Premier League season this weekend.
“In general, I am happy with the team, but we can make it stronger,” he added.
“There will be a bit of disappointment for 24 hours, but tomorrow afternoon we will be ready.
“On Friday we will be smarter, then we are going to fly on Saturday (at home to Burnley in the first game of the Premier League).”
