Charlie Austin believes that Manchester United should resort to Dyche if they decide to say goodbye to Ruben Amorim, claiming that former Burnley and Everton chief “would bring structure and stability” to the giant fighters of the Premier League.
Amorim was already under increasing pressure after only seven victories in his first 29 league games in charge, but his job security was further weakened after the sad defeat of the EFL Cup last night in Grimsby Town.
The League two team was far superior to United during the first 70 minutes and, after having two not allowed goals and a series of other nearby failures, they should have been out of view before the late goals of Bryan Mbeumo and Harry Maguire saw the second round draw go to a criminal shooting.
The lady of Mbeumo finally proved to be decisive since Grimsby prevailed 12-11 in spot kicks.
Manchester United needs structure – Austin
Austin worked under Dyche in Burnley, who is the next opponents of United over the weekend, and is confident that the 54 -year -old man, who was fired by Everton in January, would end the current discomfort at Old Trafford.
He told Sky Sports News: “My honest opinion is that you have to look at the works that Dyche has done in Burnley, what he did in Everton. The club stabilized, at least it will put structure there.
“What Manchester United needs at this time is the structure. That is something they don’t have.
“That is a man who will enter and make the team much better than we are all seeing right now. Last night we did not see a team. We saw the players go out and do what they want.”

Dyche has already been promoted for work in United.
Speaking at the end of last season, he told Podcast Stick to Football: “He (Amorim) will not change the way he plays.
“It will be better for him to win some games, quite fast. I think if I went there and played in my way, we would win more games. Only 4-4-2, gives them rules of basic principles.
“We are all going, ‘Clean play’, but he has been there for a while, so it is better that you start bringing some victories soon.”
Dyche also admitted that he had always been his dream to drive United.
“It was always the Manchester United due to the size of the club, not because it is the man or, but due to the great greatness,” he said.
“I know they are going through a difficult race in the minute, but all the worldwide sensation of that. That is a great overlapping club.”
