According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, two English players will leave Chelsea in the January transfer market.

Speaking in your official youtube channelRomano provided an update on the potential layoffs we could see at Stamford Bridge this winter, with Cesare Casadei mentioned as a name to watch as he is attracting interest from Serie A clubs.

On top of that, Romano also went on to say that English duo Carney Chukwuemeka and Ben Chilwell look like two more players facing an uncertain future in West London.

Chelsea are set to become free agents with an incredible trophy case!

The journalist explained that Chelsea’s Chukwuemeka has had interest from AC Milan for a long time and that there was a possibility of him moving in the summer, although that ultimately did not materialise.

Chilwell is another who has fallen out of favor with Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca, so it is no surprise they are being mentioned as probable departures.

What should Chelsea do in the January transfer market?

Chelsea had a busy summer bringing in big names such as Jadon Sancho, Joao Félix, Pedro Neto, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Tosin Adarabioyo, so we may see them make even more changes to their squad again in January.

Maresca is doing a great job with this Chelsea team, but may feel that there are still more changes that can be made to improve the team’s chances of staying in this title race.

It could be that Chelsea need to sell before they can buy, although it could also be that players like Chukwuemeka and Casadei are simply two young players who would benefit from a loan rather than being in line for a permanent exit.

Chilwell, however, doesn’t look like someone who can regain his place, so it surely makes sense for the club to find him a permanent buyer if possible.
