Elon Musk says that Tesla will launch a Robotaxi service in Austin this June

Tesla will present an autonomous transport service paid in Austin, said Elon Musk during a Profit call discuss the financial results of the car manufacturer by 2024. Techcrunch Reports said the company will use cars without a human driver behind the steering wheel and with the version without supervision of its complete autonomous driving software, which Tesla has not yet launched. The service will be launched with the company’s internal fleet in Austin this June before expanding to other places in the United States. Since the plan is to allow vehicle owners to add their teslas to the company’s Robotaxi fleet, the car manufacturer also plans to launch their FSD software not supervised in California and other regions in the United States before the end of the year. Musk has been talking about robotaxis for a while and said in 2019 that Tesla “have more than a million robotaxis along the way” within a year. It is worth noting that Waymo began offering totally autonomous trips to select users in Austin at the end of 2024 and will launch the service completely in the city at some point in this year.
