According to Baldwin, a fierce “bidding war” is underway over rapper Diddy’s alleged tapes, which are rumored to feature several big-name stars in compromising positions.

Baldwin made the shocking claim during an appearance on the PBD Podcastclaiming that the alleged images were sold specifically to people who appeared in the tapes.

“He has videos of the parties,” said the actor. “Now, what I’ve heard, which I don’t know how much it’s in the mainstream media, I don’t really follow the story much.”

Baldwin continued, “But what I’ve heard from friends who are lawyers, friends of mine who have represented me before, agents, etc., is that there is a bidding war going on right now.”

Daniel Baldwin opens up about his encounter with the embattled rapper

During Baldwin’s appearance on the show, he noted that he once met Diddy, whom he described as “nice.”

“I met him before,” said the actor. “Very nice guy, very smart. Super business. Very successful. And I think there’s a duality there.”

Baldwin, however, made it clear that he was never at any of the rapper’s homes with the “night crowd.”

He explained: “There are the faces that showed up at the parties, or the event that went to the big party, and then there was the night crowd, when everyone started going, and then the door was locked, and the last one there was 40, 30 people there… And I was never in any of those.”

According to the daily mailBaldwin was further questioned about Diddy’s alleged “Freak Offs” and whether people who did not attend were informed about what happened among those in attendance.

“I don’t like to say things I know unless I see them… But was it talked about? Were there descriptions of people I know who were in it? Yes,” the actor said.

He then claimed that the end of a Diddy party was hugely different from the end of a normal party.

“Does anyone ever come up to you at a certain time and say, ‘Okay, it’s time to go?’ At those parties they did it,” Baldwin shared. “At one point, he shut it down, but not everyone left. So anyone who wasn’t super famous or ‘I’m with him’ or whatever, they were kicked out of the house. You were gone.”

The rapper appears to have given up on being granted bail after he recently filed an application to have his appeal dismissed.

Documents obtained by People Magazine revealed that this decision was “voluntary”, although Diddy’s exact reasons remain unclear.

The Bad Boy Records founder was first denied bail in September by federal judge Robyn Tarnofsky following his arrest on charges of sex trafficking, extortion and transportation for prostitution.

At the time, Tarnofsky ruled that “no conditions” could “reasonably ensure court appearance and the safety of the community.”

Later that month, Diddy was denied bail again, this time by Judge Andrew L. Carter Jr., who cited concerns that the rapper could obstruct justice and tamper with witnesses relevant to the case.

Just before the Thanksgiving holiday, Judge Arun Subramanian, who had replaced Judge Andrew L. Carter Jr., denied the rapper bail for the third time after he recused himself from the case.

This denial came despite Diddy’s attorneys offering a “comprehensive and extremely substantial bail package,” which included a $50 million bond.

“The Court finds that the government has demonstrated by clear and convincing evidence that no condition or combination of conditions will reasonably ensure the safety of the community,” Subramanian wrote in his ruling, according to USA today.

He also mentioned that federal prosecutors presented “compelling evidence of Combs’ propensity for violence,” including the viral video of the rapper assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura in 2016.
