Chicago resident criticizes mayor and denounces illegal immigration “Ponzi scheme”

As President-elect Donald Trump’s incoming administration prepares to crack down on illegal immigration, Chicago residents are reeling under the weight of the Windy City’s immigration crisis.

One resident took aim at Mayor Brandon Johnson over the city’s illegal immigration “Ponzi scheme.”

“(Johnson) should be convicted of treason. We are dealing with a mayor who is a democratic socialist, and he is bringing an agenda to Chicago that is simply not going to work. And it is an illegal immigration agenda that has gotten out of hand since last year,” Chicago resident Zoe Leigh said on “The Evening Edit” on Friday.

“We have a $1.2 billion deficit because of this illegal immigration scam. I call it a Ponzi scheme.”

Along with other blue sanctuary cities like New York and Denver, Chicago has had an influx of immigrants in recent years.

Fox News data indicated that the Windy City has spent $574.5 million on immigrants, joining other blue strongholds like New York City, Boston and Denver, which have shelled out huge sums of money.

Mayor Johnson, who has vowed to resist President-elect Trump’s deportation of illegal immigrants, is also trying to overcome a Billion dollar budget deficit by the end of the year.

“It’s gotten out of hand,” Leigh said. “Chicago went backwards very quickly, especially the South Side and the West Side of Chicago because of all the money that was stolen because of the immigration scam. They thought they were going to be able to put illegal immigrants in our communities and we were going to allow that.” .

“Chicago is in trouble because its mayor sucks and its governor sucks. And we’re going to start here in Chicago, Illinois,” Homan said during an event Thursday.

“Now, if your mayor of Chicago doesn’t want to help, you can step aside. But if you stop us, if you knowingly harbor or hide an illegal alien, I will prosecute you,” he threatened.
