Carey Hart He gave us his best-kept secret about his two-decade marriage to Pink.
“I’m at the 19-year-old mark, so they still call me an idiot,” Hart, 49, joked exclusively. Us weekly while talking about his appearance in Special forces: the toughest test in the world. “I’m looking forward to turning 35 and I’m not an idiot anymore.”
Joking aside, Hart had a real answer to share with us.
“I guess it’s communication, having a teammate (and) talking through bad situations,” Hart said. “Marriage is not easy and it always comes back to the table.”
Hart and Pink, 45, met in 2001 and married in 2006. Despite splitting two years later, they finally reconciled in 2010. The singer and Hart welcomed daughter Willow and son Jameson in 2011. and 2016, respectively.
According to Hart, he and Pink are “highly competitive at anything.”
“Everything is a competition, especially with me,” Hart joked. “We are very, very competitive people.”
The former motocross rider will soon bring his competitive spirit to Special Forces season 3, but it’s true that it was “hard” being separated from Pink and the kids.
“My wife is about to wrap up a two-year tour, which I came off of to do this show, and we eat, we sleep, we breathe together and, yeah, it was hard,” Hart admitted. Us. “It was probably a good vacation for my wife, being away from me for a couple of weeks, but it was tough.”
Missing home eventually became a “secondary thought” for Hart after being “so immersed” in his Special Forces training.
“Once you’re there and you get on that boat to start the show, the intensity and the lack of sleep, and the lack of thought process in anything other than what you’re doing at that moment,” Hart recalled. . “Your nerves are full, your anxieties are full, your adrenaline is full. “It was just a total immersion situation.”
It does not mean that any part of the Special Forces It was easy to approach.
“For me the most difficult thing was the unknown. We all have control of our lives. We get out of bed, we move through the day, we make decisions,” Hart said. “When you give up those opportunities to decide for yourself, align yourself and follow the DS and go through this experience; That was probably the most impactful piece for me.”
Hart also learned to be able to “dig a little deeper” to continue overcoming barriers in each task.
“It’s easy to throw in the towel in everyday life, and this was a situation where if you threw in the towel, you went home,” Hart said.
