We are two full months away from Captain America: Brave New World and Marvel is gradually beginning its promotion cycle for the Anthony Mackie-directed film. as with Good heavens* Not long ago, the studio gave the film a “special look” that basically functions as another trailer or commercial.
Mainly, the special look teases the hero’s emotional arc: Now that Sam is Captain America, President Thaddeus Ross (Harrison Ford) wants him to be an asset to the US government again, and it tugs at the strings. patriotic cries from Sam’s heart to get the “right” answer. We know that Sam’s old friend Isaiah Bradley will shoot the Head of State later in the film, and that Sam is dedicated to investigating the attack and uncovering the forces behind it. But according to Samuel Sterns’ (Tim Blake Nelson) VO, Sam “doesn’t even know what this is” and may not be entirely ready for Giancarlo Esposito or Ross’ Sidewinder to transform into the Red Hulk. (But then, could anyone be prepared for the president to suddenly turn into a flaming monster of rage?)
While there are few new images, the promo finally offers a real look at the other superhero to honor. Brave new world: Joaquín Torres, Danny Ramírez’s character from Falcon and the Winter Soldier, he gained some high-tech wings of his own and took up Sam’s mantle to become the new Falcon. So far, previous trailers have only shown Joaquín in civilian clothes or offered brief glimpses of him in his suit. This film attempts to imitate the spy thriller style of winter soldier, which debuted Mackie’s burgeoning hero, so it’s all coming full circle.
Captain America: Brave New World hits theaters on February 14, 2025. Along with the special look, Marvel released a new poster below featuring the main cast.
