The Declaration of the Biden office occurs after the president of the United States, Donald Trump, expressed doubts about the time of diagnosis.
The former president of the United States, Joe Biden, was not diagnosed with prostate cancer before last week, and received his “last known” blood analysis for the disease more than a decade, said his office.
The Declaration of the Biden camp on Tuesday occurred when the critics, including current President Donald Trump, fueled skepticism about the moment of diagnosis, which has revived questions about whether the former president cheated the public about his health while he was in office.
“President Biden’s last PSA was in 2014,” Biden’s office said in the brief statement, referring to the specific prostate antigen test used to detect prostate cancer.
“Before Friday, President Biden had never been diagnosed with prostate cancer.”
On Monday, Trump said he was “surprised” that the public would not have been notified about the diagnosis of Biden “a long time ago.”
“Why did you take so long? This takes a long time. You can have been obtaining this level of danger for years,” Trump told White House journalists, referring to the advanced nature of drum cancer.
“Someone is not saying the facts, and that is a big problem,” Trump said.
The Biden office said Sunday that the former president, two days before, had been diagnosed with prostate cancer that had spread to his bones.
Biden’s office said his cancer had a 9 -score under the Gleason classification system, which qualifies prostate cancer from 6 to 10, indicating that it is among the most aggressive types.
Although some doctors have expressed doubts that Biden, 82, was not previously diagnosed given their access to best medical care, others have noticed that detection is generally not recommended for men of their age and that some types of cancer do not appear in the tests.
The US disease control and prevention centers and other medical bodies do not recommend regular detection for prostate cancer for men over 70 years due to the quality of life problems that can result from unnecessary treatment.
“It is completely reasonable, although sad, that even a person of President Biden’s position can occur with a new diagnosis of prostate cancer that is metastatic at his age,” said Adam Weiner, a urological surgeon at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Al Jazeera.
“Since President Biden is now 82 years old, it is completely possible that he has been examined to detect prostate cancer until the recommended age and his freshly diagnosed prostate cancer occurred for the first time at some time since then,” said Weiner.
Nick James, an expert in prostate cancer at the Cancer Research Institute in London, said Biden Camp’s story about the diagnosis was “plausible even if a bit unusual”, since certain cancers with a low PSA production can be lost in blood tests.
“It is one of the inconveniences of PSA’s tests is that such tumors can be lost. In the same way, MRI of Prostate, the other test that could have had, also has a false negative rate,” James told Al Jazeera.
Biden’s age and health were important concerns for voters during his presidency and re -election campaign, which the former president left after a disastrous performance of debate against Trump in June.
Critics have accused Biden and their team to cover the scope of their mental and physical decline while they are in office.
On Tuesday, CNN presenter Jake Tapper and the axios correspondent Alex Thompson launched a new book, original SIN, details the alleged efforts of the Biden camp to hide its deterioration.
The book includes numerous stories of the alleged Decrease in Biden, including an incident in which it was said that the then president had not been able to recognize the Hollywood actor, George Clooney, in a collection of funds of 2024.
