Elvie Pump for $ 550: Elvie worked well, but did nothing great enough to justify such a high price. I saw the same results that I had with cheaper bombs, and I didn’t have as many great features as Willow 3.0 with a similar price. However, the timer function is good, as well as bottles ready for the refrigerator and freezer linked to the portable pump.

MEDELA Pump with style for $ 209: This famous bomb has great strength and is easy to use, but it is not portable. We are excited that Soon a new version will arrive With the portable collection cups that we love from the Medla freestyle, so it will be easier to use (but it is not yet portable).

Tommee Tippee made me for $ 148: This pump has a configuration similar to Elvie, but at a cheaper price. However, the application was frustrating to navigate, and it has more parts than other bombs.

Lansinoh portable milk bupe for $ 200: Lansinoh pump comes with a wide variety of shield sizes, ranging from 21 mm to 30.5 mm, which is fantastic (most pumps come with only two or three sizes). I did not see good results with this, but it is worth noting that it was one of the last ones I tried, and my son had already started to weave.

How did I try milk extracts

I tried all these bombs during the first year of my son’s life while breastfeeding him, most of which was in the second half of that year, after my milk supply stabilized.

I used each pump for at least 10 days in a row. During those 10 days I judged how comfortable it was to use and pump, how successful it was (I already knew how much breast milk normally pumped into a session), how easy it was to move from the pump to a storage system and how easy it was to clean and dry. Portable bombs tried some different folk to judge comfort (such as Sauce brawhich is made for portable pumps, and Sublime Sublime Sublimia of Bravely Braverlya nursing bra), while the standard bombs tried with a Momcozy’s basic pumping bra.

Do you need a milk extractor?

You may not be sure whether or not you need a milk extractor. It is difficult to know in advance whether to pump or not breastfeeding or will not work for you and your baby. Even if you want to breastfeed mainly and do not expect to need a pump frequently, a milk extractor can be useful to help build your milk supply in those first weeks; My breastfeeding consultant recommended using a drum bupe in the first weeks after seeing how bass was my supply after giving birth. Mainly I breastfeed until my son went to the nursery at nine months, but I often found the pump to keep my milk supply, relieve congestion or to pump a bottle so that my husband feed the baby.
