Benzino speaks out after viral clip raises concern over self-harm


Phew! Gasoline is speaking out after a disturbing video of him began circulating online. The former ‘Love & Hip Hop’ star took to Instagram to set the record straight about a clip featuring his girlfriend and the suggestion of self-harm.

Benzino speaks in viral video with his girlfriend

The viral clip shows Benzino on the floor of a house, screaming and in an extreme emotional state. In the clip, his alleged girlfriend records him saying: “I’ll tell them no, okay?” and “stop”. At one point, Benzino gets up from the floor and sits in a corner, apparently still crying. You can also hear the woman say: “Just give me the knife.” He even yells “no” as Benzino apparently holds a knife in his hand, then continued telling him. “I’ll let them know you’re calm and call them back.” The video made people think Benzino was trying to harm himself as he allegedly held the knife close to his throat.

After the video circulated online, Benzino jumped on Instagram to set the record straight and clarify what was happening in the clip. He made sure everyone knew he was “fine” and that the video was just “a rehearsal for a Tubi movie.”

“My girl was helping me, we were doing a script reading and that was a rehearsal for a Tubi movie. “That was a scene for a Tubi movie,” the rapper explained.

Additionally, Benzino shut down the assault allegations, saying he would never lay a hand on a woman. Furthermore, he made it clear that he would never do anything that could hurt himself.

“I’ve never done that in my life. That’s for cowards. And surely he wouldn’t do anything to hurt me. So, greetings to all interested people. “I’m fine,” he continued.

Social media users were flooded The Shade Room comments section. with reactions to Benzino’s claims. Many think he was lying and say they will believe it when the Tubi movie is released.
