Bayern and PSG win again while Real Madrid knows defeat

With the Premier League drama developing in England, there was more action throughout Europe.

Several of the continent giants were in action, while others observed and waited before their matches on Sunday.

Harry Kane and Bayern Munich received Holstein Kiel in an attempt to stay at the top of the Bundesliga under Vincent Kompany.

Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain traveled to Brest in an attempt to continue with its main form and charge to the title of Ligue 1.

And LaLiga Real Madrid leaders visited Espanyol.

Bavaria Munich 4-3 Holstein Kiel

Bayern Munich survived a dramatic late scare to ensure a 4-3 victory over Holstein Kiel in a clash clash clash in the Allianz Arena.

The league leaders seemed to navigate after establishing a dominant 4-0 advantage, but Kiel organized an extraordinary return to take Bayern to Brink.

Jamal Musiala opened the scoring in the 19th minute, turning Michael Olise’s cut to put the hosts ahead. The victory extends the Bayern winning streak to six league games, moving nine clear points at the top. Then they face Werder Bremen, while Kiel will seek to regroup against Bochum.

Brest 2-5 Paris Saint-Germain

Paris Saint-Germain scored a 5-2 victory over Brest in Stade Francis-Le-200, although the marker denied the tense battle in the second half.

The PSG dominated the initial half, controlling possession and creating numerous opportunities. Ousmane Dembele was denied twice before finally breaking the dead point in the 29th minute, at home from the short distance after a brilliant career and help of Bradley Barcola.

Brest, without an avant -garde in the first half, arose rejuvenated after the break.

Romain del Castillo level the score in the 50th minute, firing beyond Gianluigi Donnarumma after a long ball by Julien Lala. PSG responded quickly, with Dembele completing his hat-trick in just 12 minutes, his second from a rebound after the Marquinhos pass, and the third courtesy of Kang-in Lee’s intelligent assistance.

Brest refused to capitular, with Ludovic Ajorque removing one in the 71st minute, establishing a nervous ending.

The hosts pressed strongly, but the quality of the PSG shone in the morbundo moments. Goncalo Ramos’s substitute scored twice in rapid succession, the first after a brilliant solo career and help from Desire Doue, and the second after a fortunate settling.

Espanyol 1-0 Real Madrid

Espanyol achieved an impressive 1-0 victory over the leaders of the Real Madrid League at the RCDE stadium, courtesy of a late goal by Carlos Romero.

Despite Madrid’s domain in possession and numerous scoring opportunities, Espanyol’s resistance and a heroic performance of goalkeeper Garcia obtained an unexpected victory.

The first half saw Madrid fight to break the disciplined block of Espanyol. Vinicius Jr. thought that Leadership had given Madrid in the 22nd minute with an excellent curly effort, just for Var to discard it due to a MBAPPE lack of accumulation. Madrid’s possibilities were limited, with Bellingham registering his first shot in the goal in the 39th minute.

Madrid intensified its pressure after the break. García produced a series of notable salvages, including a double stop of Bellingham and Mbappe in the 51st minute and another save from the fingers to deny the curly shot of Mbappe in 77. Rodrygo also approached in an agonizing way, reaching the post after one dazzling race.

Espanyol took his opportunity in the 85th minute. A quick counterattack saw El Hilali deliver a precise cross to Romero, who flew home beyond Courtois to send local fans to ecstasy.

Madrid desperately looked for an equalizer, with Vinicius missing little in the dying moments, his shot deviates slightly without a corner granted, for his frustration.

In the end, the defensive discipline of Espanyol and Garcia’s brilliance proved to be decisive, giving us Madrid a rare defeat and breathing a new life in the race for the title of the League.
