Mikesh Bansal, founder of Curefit, has issued a strong call to action for India to radically transform its science and technology approach, warning that the current global geopolitical climate does not leave room for complacency.
In a publication about X (previously Twitter), Bansal wrote: “If the current geopolitical situation is not enough warning for India to take your science and deep ecosystem very seriously, nothing will be.” He added that this moment is not simply a call of attention, “this is existential.”
Bansal emphasized that with the world at the edge of massive technological agitation, particularly in artificial intelligence, India must urgently double the construction of an innovation ecosystem ready for the future.
“It is time to adopt research based on science and curiosity, build world -class research infrastructure, attract top -level Indian scientists to the country and celebrate the real ‘discover in India’ and ‘invent in India,” he said.
He affirmed that “Viksit Bharat”, a developed India, will continue to be a vision not fulfilled without deep scientific and technological abilities in its nucleus.
The Bansal Declaration is produced following the United States imposing a new round of punitive tariffs on Indian exports, a movement that has shaken INCIs INC and highlighted the vulnerabilities of depending on global supply chains and foreign technology.
The previous rates of 25%, which will increase TP 50% before August 27, underline the pressing need for India to develop self -sufficiency in critical technologies and reduce dependence on external ecosystems.
As India prepares to navigate an increasingly volatile world order, voices such as Bansal are amplifying the need for sovereign innovation, not only as an economic strategy but as a national imperative.
